Description
Less Time Changing Blades. More Time Maintaining Roads.
Frequent blade changes are keeping you from efficiently maintaining your county’s gravel roads. The RoadMAXX® Double Carbide Grader Blade System eliminates this problem with technology that lasts 15-20 times longer than standard cutting edges.
The Problem with Standard Grader Blades
Every day you face pressure to maintain safe, drivable gravel roads for your community. But standard blades:
- Wear down quickly in abrasive conditions
- Crown easily, creating a bad road cross section leading to more damage
- Require frequent replacement, causing excessive downtime
- Create frustration when you should be focused on road maintenance
You deserve cutting edges that hold a straight edge and last longer.
Your Solution: RoadMAXX® Double Carbide Technology
At Winter Equipment, we understand that no one should worry about frequently changing blades due to excessive wear and crowning. Our unique double carbide system features:
- Bullnose HammerHead® Carbide Inserts with 30% more carbide that maintain a sharp, clean edge
- Impervium® Carbide applied to the blade face to add abrasion resistance, prevent breakage, and washout
- Universal CurbRunner® Guards that defend against curb damage (optional)
- Versatile Attack Angles (60°-90°) for maximum performance
The RoadMAXX® Advantage
Unlike standard steel blades, our double carbide system:
- Stays straight through its entire lifespan
- Stands up to high-abrasion conditions
- Works perfectly for dirt/gravel roads, snow/ice removal, and reclamation work

Common Questions
“What types of roads are RoadMAXX® blades best suited for?”
These blades are ideal for maintaining gravel roads, dirt roads, and performing snow and ice removal. They excel in high-abrasion, low-impact applications including chip and seal road reclamation, tar sand road reclamation, and cutting ditches.
“Will these blades help prevent the “crowning” issue I experience with standard blades?”
Yes. One of the key advantages of the RoadMAXX® Double Carbide system is that it maintains a straighter cutting edge throughout its lifespan. The Bullnose HammerHead® carbide inserts and Impervium® Carbide technology work together to significantly reduce the crowning effect common with standard steel edges.
“Are these blades difficult to install?”
No. We provide detailed installation instructions with every order. Additionally, the blade sections replace dangerous full-length cutting edges, making the installation process safer and more manageable than with traditional systems.
“Do you offer contract pricing for government agencies?”
Yes. We’ve worked with government agencies for over 35 years and can help you find your best contract pricing, including NASPO and Local Co-Op options. Just let us know your specific needs when requesting a quote.
“Are these blades worth the initial investment?”
While Double Carbide blades have a higher upfront cost than steel edges, the extended lifespan, reduced downtime, and consistent performance deliver significant long-term cost savings. When properly operated, the return on investment is excellent, particularly for counties with large amounts of gravel roads to maintain.
Stop wasting time changing blades and get back to what matters – maintaining your community’s roads.

The road max has worked great for us! We purchased back in 2013 and it ran great for us. We can’t believe how long it lasted and will continue to purchase these moving forward.
